The Journey

The journey begins on June 17th, God willing. My good friend Charissa will be traveling with me. Costa Rica is our first destination. We’ll be there for 1 month. From there we head to Peru, Chile, and Argentina. (Possibly also Ecuador… we’ll know once we get to Peru) Our schedule is pretty much flexible, other than the flights… what’s in store for us, we have yet to find out. I’m sure we’re in for lots of surprises. Learning by living. Whenever I have a chance I’ll try post some pictures and stories.
I hope that through this blog you can be in on our adventure!
Please pray that we may hear God’s voice and act on his directing… and that God would give us the grace to be FAT: faithful, available, teachable. =)
Thanks for your prayers!
~ Anita

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalm 139: 7 – 10

Hi Anita,

God bless you on your amazing journey! I have no doubt that God will stretch you and use you in ways that you haven't even thought of...how very exciting!
BTW, I read your dad's post and it made me cry...it's exactly how I would feel if one of my babes were so far away.
We look forward to reading your posts and of course, we will keep you both in our prayers.
Love,
The Hofing family

Hi Everyone,
Kerstin spoke to Anita by phone
today, she and Charissa are really
enjoying themselves. Anita takes care of babies, Charissa the 2 year olds. They take a bus from
the host family to work and got lost the other day (no marked bus stops) but now are getting used things. Computer access is very limited. If you want to send a personal message to Anita you can
send it to:
asoukoreff@schoolathome.ca
If you want to read an informative
blog as to Costa Rica see:

They both really love it and are excited,
Greeting
Daniel

it's been less than a week and your trip sounds amazing already! God is really sticking to ya and giving you a good time!
"So now I charge you in the sight of all Israel and of the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God: Be careful to follow all the commands of the LORD your God, that you may possess this good land and pass it on as an inheritance to your descendants forever." 1 Chronicles 28:8
you are considering this a "journey of a lifetime" and I just wanted to encourage you to be strong in your faith and diligent in your scriptures as you will be able to bless your future kids with stories of what God is doing within these moments of your life! God bless... hearing you on the phone made me miss you more...

Liebe Anita!
They will be screeaming and yelling for the whole night.
Viele Grüße von Opa, Oma, Rolf und Mama.

Wow Anita, What a great weekend! I am glad the Lord preserved you through all your fantastic adventures. Tom and Pat Hawkins were in Costa Rico in Feb. and they had photos on their lap top of all the places and things you are talking about. He went on the zip ride and they were at Jaco, but did not do that wild surfing! Lots of love to you both, Grandma
